Standing in the lava eventually kills them so all I need to do is use a Soultrap scroll and wait. But youd have to go elsewhere to use them.I go to the Dwemer ruins near Fort Moonmoth and use the scrolls over the lava under the bridge in one of the chambers there. One way to get some decent soul gems is to steal them from the enchanter at balmora mage guild.
